As discussed on the Home page, the Universe is composed of energies in various forms. Even "solid" matter is made up of sub-atomic particles, separated by lots of space, which in turn are composed of energy bundles (quarks and quanta). We know these things by theorization, experimentation and by development of tools that help us peer into the macrocosm and microcosm, i.e. the dimensional realms above and below the range of human perceptions.

By no great stretch of the imagination, we can understand that, within this ocean of electromagnetic energies in which we live, there would be other entities co-existing with us. If their energetic frequencies were just a few degrees away, we would not be able to perceive them at all. What we can see is just a thin sliver of the energetic spectrum --which ranges from hi-vibration waves (like cosmic rays) to lo-vibration waves (like radio waves). And, if these entities could shift their own frequencies, i.e. manipulate energies, that would go a long way toward explaining UFO's and other strange anomalies that have puzzled humankind for centuries. By shifting their frequencies these entities are in effect shifting dimensions -- from theirs to ours.

Reporter John Keel makes an excellent case for this in his now classic book Operation Trojan Horse. In regards to this energy manipulation, Mr. Keel makes use of the term "transmogrification" which, in verb form "transmogrify," means "to change completely; transform, esp. in a grotesque or strange manner," according to Webster's New World Dictionary (3rd College Edition, 1988). This would explain the strange comings and goings of mythological beings like fairies and angels as well as the metamorphic, shape-shifting abilities of lycanthropes (werewolves) and vampires.

It seems that strange beings have been with us for millennia, slipping into and out of our perceived reality from parallel dimensions. In ancient times, there were stories of visiting angels and mysterious wheels in the sky (see Ezekial in the Old Testament). Author Zecharia Sitchin makes a compelling case for extraterrestrial intervention in pre-Bible times by investigating Biblical references to the Nefilim (variously described as cast-down giant angels). His search led him to ancient Sumerian evidence; see Sitchin's The 12th Planet (Book One of The Earth Chronicles). Sitchin goes so far as to say that these mysterious visitors (from a rogue planet with a several-thousand-year orbit within our solar system) are responsible for the genetic creation and intellectual development of the human race. While I do not agree with the conclusions that Mr. Sitchin reaches, his research certainly illuminates ancient evidence of interlopers in human affairs.

Further, I would say that the visitor "crafts" appearing in ancient skies (as UFO's do in today's skies) simply indicate that these crafts most easily materialize in a less dense medium such as Planet Earth's atmosphere; this does not mean that they come from outer-space. They are more likely to be trans-dimensionally traveling into our perceived level of reality. We also have reports of Underwater Unidentified Objects (UUO's) appearing in a more dense but still fluid medium.

The most thoughtful, well-investigated books on these topics are by the venerable ufologist Mr. Jacques Vallee; he has written such classics as: Passport to Magonia, The Invisible College, Dimensions, Confrontations, and Revelations.
